TechPlan Builder
Welcome to WestEd Regional Technology in Education Consortium's TechPlan Builder (TPB). Designed to help school districts in California write and update their technology plans, the TPB will work for ANY district, lending a hand to ensure compliance with requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act's Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT). TPB works by leading writers through a series of interviews and worksheets, and when complete generates a plan document ready for approval and use. Best of all, the TPB is FREE -- so get started now!
Will Work for Any District – The WestEd RTEC TPB enables any educational entity, inside or outside of California, including public and private schools and colleges, to draft a technology plan. Individuals not associated with a district may also use the WestEd RTEC TPB to draft a technology plan. Incorporates Your CBEDS Data – For California districts, the system incorporates your CA Basic Educational Data Systems (CBEDS) data for the current year. Alignment with EETT - The TPB generates a plan that is aligned to both EETT requirements and CA's Appendix C - Criteria for EETT Funded Education Technology Plans. For more information on both of these reference documents visit http://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/et/rs/techplan.asp Interview Questions – The interview questions consist of guiding questions taken from the CA-adopted Education Technology Planning Guide. A copy of this guide can be downloaded at http://www.cde.ca.gov/re/pn/fd/edtechplngd.asp Tech Planning Tips - These tips provide additional guidance from the California Guidelines and other sources of technology planning expertise. Multiple Users - The system is designed to allow individuals or teams functioning together to work on different components of the same plan. WestEd is dedicated to continual improvement of the TechPlan Builder. To send feedback regarding the TechPlan Builder or to offer suggestions for future releases, we invite you to write to techplan@wested.org. |
