Research consistently demonstrates that the key to the success of any innovation is the support of a superintendent and/or principal. Technology will only impact student learning and staff productivity when leaders both know the best uses of technology and practice those uses for themselves.

This theme focuses on resources that will help leaders succeed in producing and implementing a technology plan for their schools or districts, and in exercising improved decision- and policy-making based on effective use of data (data-driven decision-making).
