The
Distance Learning Resource Network (DLRN)
DLRN is the dissemination project for the U.S. Department
of Education's Star Schools Program. DLRN is designed to provide
information about the Star Schools projects, courses, and
resources. DLRN provides tools and technical assistance related
to distance education and distributed learning to support
those implementing new models of teaching and learning to
aid in the transition to a connected learning community.
ASSET
Offers an
online environment to help sustain the statewide effort to
help educators use technology effectively in the classroom.
The online environment is home for TeacherLine, Connected
University, and ASSET online courses, ASSET's MyCompass©
self-assessment system, and a variety of research and standards-based
curricular resources. The ASSET Education Portal allows Arizona
educators to communicate through a Community area, as well
as keep track of their professional development in a personalized
online Transcript. This is a great example for all states.

The primary goal of this group is: To facilitate collaboration,
advocacy,
and research to enhance quality K-12 e-learning.
United States Distance Learning Association
Goals:
- To provide national leadership in the field of distance
learning
- To promote equity and access to lifelong learning through
distance learning
- To advocate and promote the use of distance learning
- To provide current information on distance learning
- To represent the distance learning community before government
policy and regulatory bodies
- To serve and support the state, consortium and individual
organizations that belong to USDLA
- To provide annual recognition and awards of outstanding
achievements in distance learning.
- To serve as a catalyst for the formation of partnerships
among education, business, healthcare, and government.
- To achieve a global leadership role through liaisons with
international organizations
