Assessment rubrics are valuable tools to provide objective guidelines to measure the quality of student learning. Rubrics also provide a second benefit for students because they understand before their project begins the evaluation criteria that will be applied to their completed work.

	Assessment & Rubric Information
	Part of Kathy Schrock's Guide for Educators, this page consists of a collection of assessment rubrics for use on Web sites. Includes rubrics for students, educators, links to articles, and rubrics for specific criteria such as the cooperative learning, group presentations, lesson plans, multimedia, oral presentations, portfolio, research papers, and more.

	Assessment: Creating Rubrics
	(registration required) If your teachers are unfamiliar with using rubrics this five-part series explores how one teacher designs, refines, and implements rubrics in a variety of subject areas.

	Digital Arts Rubric
	Posted on the Staff Room site for teachers in Ontario, Canada, this rubric includes examples of each level of work and explanations about why.

	Multimedia Project Rubric
	Designed by Dan Senstock, Winner Multimedia Mania, Middle Grades Division, MidLink Magazine.

	PowerPoint Rubric
	Designed by Joan Vandervelde for use in evaluating PowerPoint presentations.

	RubiStar
	Customizable rubrics for a wide variety of projects and activities. A special tool allows the teacher to enter evaluation data after the project has been completed to determine which skills students found difficult.

	Rubric for Assessment: Integrated Problem Solving Model (Grades 3 - 12 and beyond.)
	This assessment tool shows how to measure student progress in each Big6 Skill area. To use this rubric, mark the level of achievement in each column for each Big6 Skill 1 - 6. You may modify this sample rubric to fit your own assignments.

	Student Web Page or Multimedia Rubric
	A rubric to help you evaluate student developed web pages and multimedia projects. Includes content, web design and teamwork.
