Tools for Use When Observing Technology Enhanced Lessons:
These tool were designed for school administrators by school administrators. They offer principals, assistant principals, and other classroom observers observation tools to use when evaluating a lesson that incorporates teacher and student technology use.

Observation Trio
Observation Form (1 of 3): This more detailed form was designed to be used by administrators and researchers. Using a list of key indicators the observer notes teacher and student actions. See also the pre-observation tool (Form 2 of 3) to help the observer understand what the teacher has planned and a post-observation tool (Form 3 of 3) to help the teacher reflect on the outcomes of the lesson.

Tech Observation Form
This observation tool developed by Susan Brooks-Young and Harvey Barnett is designed to help an administrator focus on how a teacher organizes the classroom to enable students to use technology for more powerful learning. The tool uses the ACOT model to describe a teachers level of use. More information about the ACOT levels of Use model can be found at: http://www.seirtec.org/ACOTstages.htm
