Archived Information Only - This site will not be updated.
Monitoring and evaluation are two essential components of your technology planning efforts. Monitoring is the process of reviewing the implementation of the plan against your timelines and objectives. Evaluation is about value judgments – about whether or not you are making the progress you expect and whether or not the results obtained are the ones you want

The Technology Implementation Assessment Rubric (Process guidelinespdf_64.2k)
Use this rubric as a guide to assessing the progress of your technology plan. By annually re-evaluating your district or school's current technology status, stakeholders are able to assess the progress of your technology implementation effort.

The rubric is also a useful tool when you begin your technology planning efforts. Beginning with this assessment will allow the planning committee to identify early action items. Once a baseline has been established, use the rubric annually to re-identify school and district-wide technology implementation progress and to serve as a guide for planning next steps.

Technology Evaluation Planning Guide (Process guidelinespdf_19.5k)
Using feedback from your planning group, this guide will help you determine the most important elements to focus on as you develop our particular evaluation plan.

The Technology Plan Assessment Rubric (Process guidelines pdf_43.7k)
This rubric is aligned with the technology planning guidelines for ERate. Districts using this planning tool developed by the Monterey County Office of Education and WestEd RTEC will be able to assess the quality of the implementation of their planning efforts.

The Technology Implementation Assessment Template (Process guidelines pdf_29.2k)
Allows committee members to identify which concrete "Next Steps" will help to move a component of your district's or school's technology plan to the next level. Focus your "Next Step" actions on meeting the goals from the Technology Implementation Assessment Rubric. (Process guidelines pdf_62.4k) The Suggested Process (Process guidelines pdf_5.5k) provides some general guidelines on using the assessment template in a group setting.

Technology Training Matrix
This matrix has been provided to assist with planning and future training. It identifies the key skills required of a network support organization and the training that may be required to develop those skills.
