The U.S. Department of Education seeks to disseminate widely high quality research, guidance, and implementation strategies so that schools, districts and States can meet the high student achievement standards required by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) is the Federal Government's primary vehicle for improving student achievement in our nation's schools.
Through its sponsorship of the Secretary's No Child Left Behind Leadership Summits, the U.S. Department of Education will provide technical assistance to state and local education leaders on how technology can assist the implementation of NCLB. The Department of Education will sponsor three such summits in the Spring and Summer of 2004. For more information visit: http://www.nclbtechsummits.org/
