There are many kinds of educational opportunity “divides” – between rich and poor, between cultures and social groupings, between migrant and stationary families . The “digital” divide refers to disparities in access to technology and its use for learning, language acquisition, “getting ahead,” and access to needed information and services for students and their families. This topic highlights resources aimed at helping to close the existing digital divides that remain among our nation’s students and their families, at school and at home.
